Try Co-Washing

"With the weather warming up and the humidity and heat on the rise, you will feel tempted to wash your hair more often due to sweat, excess moisture and frizzing. If you do decide to wash more often than usual, try co-washing. This is where you rinse your hair with lukewarm water and lightly coat the hair with conditioner instead of using a traditional shampoo. This helps rid the hair of dirt while maintaining moisture and hydration. It's a fantastic way to keep you curls looking lush and healthy throughout the spring." -- Mixed Chicks

Wrap Your Hair at Night

The combination of cotton pillowcases and dry night air can suck moisture from your strands. Keep your hair wrapped with a satin scarf at night or sleep on a satin pillowcase. If you hair can deal with nightly manipulation, consider twisting or braiding it up at night." -- BlackGirlLongHair

Clean Your Tools 

"Hairbrushes and combs can be a breeding ground for gunk, grime and bacteria. Just think about all of the products that go through your tools, not to mention all that shed hair!

If your brushes and combs are in good condition, you can clean them by soaking each tool in a mixture of baking soda, vinegar, and hot water overnight. After soaking, comb out any shed hairs left and rinse once more with hot water. For a full overhaul, you can purchase all new grooming tools.

Don’t forget to examine your bobby pins, hair clips, and headbands too. Replace anything broken or worn out to avoid unnecessary tangles and breakage." - Hapiliving

Slippery When Wet

"Start your styling process in the shower when hair is wet. Afterwards, wrap your hair in a cotton T-shirt to allow the water to start draining. This way, the cuticle of the curl won't be disturbed." - Real Beauty

Scalp Massage

1. Mix a few drops of potent oils like peppermint, tea tree, eucalyptus and horsetail with a tablespoon of carrier oils like grapeseed or jojoba oil.

Extend the life of your extensions

If you've wished for long hair but are on a tight budget, consider today's realistic-looking synthetic hair extensions. Premium quality extensions, such as the Soft N' Silky Hot Style (Sensationnel, 199 kr) shown below, are an easy way to change your style.

Proper care goes a long way to extend the life and look of synthetic extensions. Always ask your stylist for specific washing and maintenance instructions, as different weaves or braids will determine proper care.  As a rule, synthetic hair should always be washed in cool to lukewarm water with a mild shampoo, followed with conditioner if you wish, then rinsed in cool water. Never rub or massage the hair -- rather than towel dry the hair, drape a towel around your shoulders and allow hair to hang and air dry. Don't brush or comb when wet.

Gelish (pictured above) comes in an array of colors and are applied like polish.  However, they are quick-cured under UV light, like gels. Gelish stays on nails for three weeks with no chipping or peeling, and soak complete off in only 15 minutes. A Gelish manicure is 400 kr at Vison's; the removal process is priced at 150 kr.

Ciaté (pronounced see-ar-tay) is the newest addition to Vison's manicure selection.

Ciaté has become well known in the beauty world for the "caviar manicure," a look you may want to consider for a special event or when you're feeling rather avant-garde. Vison's offers this manicure for 350 kr.  The caviar pearls manicure is available in three colours- Mother of Pearl, Black Pearls (shown above) and Rainbow.
